The Riverside CIC repositions property and partners with developers to strengthen Riverside.
The Riverside Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) is the City’s designated land reutilization corporation operating under Ohio Revised Code Chapter 1724. As a nonprofit partner to the City of Riverside, the CIC acquires, manages, and repositions underutilized property to support economic development, housing stability, and neighborhood revitalization.
Our work directly advances the ONE Riverside Comprehensive Plan and focuses on transforming non-productive property into long-term community assets.

The CIC of Riverside operates to support the city of Riverside in enacting components of the "One Riverside Comprehensive Plan" through site specific redevelopment activities.

The CIC repurposes underutilized commercial sites — particularly properties with environmental challenges such as brownfields. Strategic properties near major regional assets, including Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, are prioritized for repositioning to support long-term economic growth and community benefit.
Addressing Riverside’s housing needs is a core priority. The CIC acquires and aggregates strategic parcels, supports rehabilitation of vacant or distressed homes, and encourages reinvestment in single-family and small multifamily properties. These efforts strengthen neighborhoods, expand housing options, and improve long-term stability.
The CIC strategically manages land through acquisition and aggregation of city-owned, tax-delinquent, and underutilized properties. Site control is essential to attracting responsible developers and coordinating infrastructure investments that support Riverside’s long-range growth strategy.
The CIC is in the process of receiving its initial tranche of surplus and priority development properties. As properties are acquired and prepared for repositioning, they will be listed on this site.

Riverside’s future growth must come from within its existing boundaries. Strategic land management is essential to unlocking underutilized property, stabilizing neighborhoods, and strengthening the city’s long-term economic foundation.
Today, Riverside contains significant redevelopment opportunity:
Without proactive coordination, many of these properties remain non-productive. The Riverside CIC provides the structure, statutory authority, and strategic oversight necessary to assemble land, remove barriers, and position sites for responsible redevelopment aligned with the ONE Riverside Comprehensive Plan.
